Good together. Better in your home.

How to combine kitchen colours, timber, stone and hardware. Think of each palette as a direction to explore with physical samples and your own room in mind.

The naturalist, a material study

The naturalist

Natural oak brings visible grain and warmth to a pale stone kitchen. An ivory surface keeps the room light, while brushed brass picks up the golden notes in the timber.

A warm cream cabinet sits gently against travertine. Aged bronze gives the pale palette definition. Check undertones together in your room: a creamy white can feel very different beside cool stone.

Into the green, a material study

Into the green

Forest green makes brass details feel warmer and pale stone feel brighter. Balance deeper cabinetry with daylight and consider how the colour reads beneath your evening task lighting.

A richer ritual, a material study

A richer ritual

A deep wine finish creates an intimate kitchen with character. Ivory stone provides a light counterpoint, while brass introduces a quiet highlight. Try the colour on an island if you prefer a smaller statement.

Smoked walnut and charcoal stone create a layered, darker room. Satin nickel introduces a cooler detail. Good task lighting matters here, particularly over preparation areas and inside deeper cabinets.

Warm putty cabinetry lets the texture of travertine do the talking. Brass adds a little colour without a sharp contrast. Bring the flooring sample into the conversation to keep the whole palette connected.

Pale & natural, a material study

Pale & natural

Inspired by the pale timber and illuminated reveals in our studio work. A lighter oak finish keeps the grain visible beside ivory stone. Try slab doors for a quiet elevation, or reeding for a little more texture.

Slate & warmth

Slate blue cabinetry takes its cue from our showroom. Pair it with a walnut upper bank and warm task lighting in the Slate & walnut kitchen. A charcoal surface keeps the composition calm; ivory stone brings more contrast.

Before you choose.

Digital materials are indicative. We confirm colour, grain, stone availability and finish with physical samples before manufacture.

Painted joinery, warm metal and a precise stone edge.

  • Yes. These palettes are conversation starters. We design bespoke cabinetry and can explore other paint colours, timbers, stones, handles and proportions with you. Your designer will confirm what is suitable and available for your project.

  • Start with the element you care about most, such as oak cabinetry or a strongly veined worktop. Compare a small number of complementary finishes, then view physical samples beside your floor and wall colours in both daylight and evening light.

  • The opening scenes and completed-work photographs show real Posh Design projects. The small palette studies explore possible combinations. The interactive kitchen and freestanding material view are design studies, with your chosen materials, door style and lighting.

  • Screens, lighting and natural materials all vary. The lighting controls demonstrate reflections and the relationship between finishes, rather than predicting the exact light in your home. We finalise the specification using physical samples and a design for your actual room.

  • Natural stone has its own care requirements. Some surfaces are more sensitive to acids, staining or wear, depending on the stone and finish. We can discuss suitable natural stone or engineered alternatives with a similar look, and confirm maintenance before you choose.
