On 7 November, Posh Design will be joining some of Birmingham’s outstanding businesses and individuals at the 11th Birmingham Awards.

Being shortlisted for Small Business of the Year means a great deal to us. But more importantly, it gives us an opportunity to show what has actually been built behind the Posh Design name.

• The Birmingham Awards were created to recognise the businesses, people and organisations contributing to the city, and the 2026 finalists were selected following what organisers described as a particularly strong year for nominations.

For us, being a small business has never meant thinking small.

Over the last four years, our team has worked across approximately 500 projects, transforming kitchens, bedrooms, media walls and bespoke interiors while continuously developing the way we design, manufacture and deliver our work.

But the number alone isn't what defines us.

It's what we've built behind those projects.

Instead of simply selling interiors, we've invested in becoming increasingly responsible for the complete journey.

Beautiful cabinetry is only one part of delivering a successful interior.

Our clients are making significant decisions about their homes, so communication matters. From initial consultation and measurement through CGI development, design approval, manufacturing, scheduling and fitting, we work to keep the customer involved and informed. That relationship is fundamental to how we operate. Because ultimately, a successful project isn't simply one that photographs beautifully. It's one that leaves the customer genuinely happy with the result.

A major part of our growth has been reinvestment.

Rather than building Posh Design purely around selling more projects, we have continued putting resources back into the company through manufacturing machinery, CNC technology, design capability, people, systems and production infrastructure.

Why?

Because greater control gives us greater responsibility.

And greater responsibility gives us a better opportunity to protect the standard of what ultimately reaches the customer's home.

The official Birmingham Awards criteria look for much more than popularity.

Small Business of the Year considers commercial success, development of products or services, employee support and development, exceptional customer service, innovation and creativity, and community involvement.

Our heavy Customer Care Support

We prioritise making sure that customers receive almost no concerns within project management as we take that right off their shoulders and onto our own.

If a client project requires communication from the Posh Design team, such as Roozbeh, we handle the project according to our set up in electrical points and design relativity. This ensures safety, but also the 100% expected result starting from CGI to reality.

Those are areas we believe genuinely reflect the journey Posh Design is on.

This nomination isn't the finish line for us. It's recognition that the direction we're travelling is being noticed.

Our team works here. Our manufacturing operates here. Many of the homes we transform are across Birmingham and the wider West Midlands. So walking into the Birmingham Awards as a finalist carries a different meaning for us. Whatever happens on the night, we're proud to be standing alongside businesses contributing to the city. But we're certainly not attending simply to make up the numbers.

We'll be arriving proud of what we've built, grateful to the customers who trusted us, and hungry for what comes next.
