Posh Design is a Birmingham workshop with a showroom attached, not a showroom with a workshop somewhere else. Designers, draughtsmen, joiners, sprayers and fitters work in the same 6,000 sq ft building on the Pershore Road. If you would rather see the thing you worked on leave the door than read about it in a report, this is the right place to look.

The whole job happens
in one building.
Most companies selling kitchens at this level are assembling other people’s cabinets. We draw it, cut it, spray it, deliver it and fit it. That is a different kind of place to work, and it is the only thing we would ask you to judge us on.

One roof, one payroll
The designer who draws your room sits twenty steps from the joiner who cuts it, who sits twenty steps from the sprayer who finishes it. The fitter who installs it is on our payroll, in our van. The parts that matter are not subcontracted out and quietly blamed on somebody else later.

You will see the whole job
Because every stage happens here, you get to follow a room from a first sketch to a handover photograph. That is unusual. Most people in this trade only ever see their own slice of it.

Small enough to be heard
A small Birmingham studio, on purpose. Founded in 2021 by Roozbeh Saedi and Amir Azimi, who are both still here, in the building, most days. If something is broken you tell them, not a form.

Everything below happens at Unit 5B, on the Pershore Road. Whichever of them you join, you will spend your week within earshot of the other five.

Design studio
Senior designers take a brief to handover under one signature. The first call a client gets is with a designer, never a sales line.

Drawing office
Plans, elevations and joinery sections drawn in-house, so the workshop builds from our own drawings.

Joinery
Carcasses, doors, drawer boxes and bespoke pieces. All cut in Kings Norton.

Spray finishing
An on-site booth, with colour codes kept on file for the life of the kitchen.

Stone co-ordination
Quartz, marble, sintered and granite specified, templated and laid out before the saw turns.

Installation
Our own fitters, our own vans. The team that knows the cabinet is the team that hangs the door.

Conduct first. The craft can be taught.
We have hired people out of shopfitting, furniture making and trades with no connection to kitchens at all. What has never worked is hiring somebody skilled who was difficult to be in a house with.

You tell people the bad news first
It is the line the founders use about clients and it applies internally too. A problem raised on Tuesday is a scheduling conversation. The same problem raised on Friday is somebody’s weekend.

You finish things properly
The last five per cent is the part clients actually see. Anyone can do the first ninety five.

You are decent in someone’s home
Most of our work happens in houses people live in, often with children and pets in them. Dust sheets down, radio sensible, boots off. It is not a small thing, it is most of the reputation.

Nobody here has finished learning, including the people who have been doing it for twenty years. Curiosity travels much further than a CV does.

no assessment centre.
We are a small studio, so hiring is done by the people you would work with rather than by a department. That cuts most of the theatre out of it.

The form on each role goes straight to the studio. Attach a CV if you have one to hand. If you do not, the covering note is genuinely enough to start a conversation.

Not a filter, not a keyword score. Every application gets a reply, including the ones that are a no.

Short, and with the person you would actually be working alongside. Bring questions. The ones you ask tell us more than the answers you give.

You should see the building, meet the team and watch the machines running before you decide anything. We would rather you had stood on that floor before you said yes.

- Where would I be working?
- The studio, showroom and workshop share one site: Unit 5B, Waterside Business Park, 1651 Pershore Rd, Birmingham, B30 3DR, in Kings Norton. It is about fifteen minutes from the city centre and minutes from junction 2 of the M42, with free parking directly outside. Installation and design-visit roles travel from there.
- How far do you travel for work?
- Most projects are in the West Midlands and within roughly an hour of the showroom. We also take selected commissions further afield, including London and up to Manchester, when the project is the right fit.
- There is no role listed that suits me. Can I still get in touch?
- Yes. We would rather hear from a good joiner, sprayer, draughtsman or fitter early than advertise for one in six months. Send a note through any of the open roles, or email info@poshdesignltd.co.uk and say what you do.
- Do I need experience in kitchens specifically?
- Not always. Some of the best people here came from shopfitting, furniture making, construction or a completely different trade. What each listing calls essential is genuinely essential; everything else can be taught by people who are twenty steps away.
- What do you do with my CV and my details?
- Your application is stored securely and seen only by the people making the hiring decision. Any CV you attach is held in private storage that is not reachable by a web address. We do not add applicants to any marketing list, and we do not pass your details to anyone outside the studio. Recruitment is handled separately from our client privacy policy, which covers enquiries rather than applications. - Do you take on apprentices?
- We do not have a formal apprenticeship programme running today. If that changes it will be listed on this page. In the meantime, if you are early in a trade and serious about it, write to us at info@poshdesignltd.co.uk rather than waiting for a posting.

Jobs at a Birmingham kitchen workshop.
Posh Design is a bespoke kitchen, fitted bedroom and joinery manufacturer based at Unit 5B, Waterside Business Park, 1651 Pershore Rd, Birmingham, B30 3DR, in Kings Norton. The studio was founded in 2021 and now runs a 6,000 sq ft workshop and a showroom on the same site, with designers, draughtsmen, joiners, spray finishers and installation teams all employed directly rather than subcontracted.
Roles at the studio range across the design office, the drawing office, the machine shop, the spray booth, delivery and installation. Most of the work is in Birmingham, Solihull, Sutton Coldfield, Worcestershire and the wider West Midlands, within about an hour of the showroom, with selected commissions in London and up to Manchester. Whatever the job, it is based out of one building: the studio does not run satellite offices, and there is no call-centre floor.
