Posh Design is a bespoke kitchen maker based on Pershore Road, Birmingham. The cabinetry that defines every kitchen we deliver is drawn and built in our 6,000 sq ft workshop by the same team that designs the project, with finishes, stone and hardware specified and co-ordinated against the same programme. Cabinetry on site, kitchen end to end.

The cabinetry, the structural and visible joinery of the kitchen, is drawn and built at our Pershore Road bench. Finishes, stone and hardware are specified and co-ordinated by the same studio against the same programme, with one point of accountability from drawing to handover.

    Cabinetry, built on site

    Carcasses, doors, drawer boxes and bespoke joinery, cut, sanded and assembled at our Pershore Road bench. The structural heart of every Posh Design kitchen is built in Birmingham by salaried Posh Design joiners.

    Design studio

    Plans, elevations, joinery sections and a finishes schedule, drawn in-house in PDF and DWG. Layouts are agreed at the Birmingham showroom or on a home visit before a board is cut.

    Finishes and stone

    Hand-painted, lacquered or veneered cabinetry, with stone, glass and hardware specified to the brief. The studio holds every finish reference, batch and supplier on file so a later repair or addition matches the original spec.

    Programme co-ordination

    One named project lead runs the kitchen from drawing to handover, sequencing the cabinetry build against finishes, stone and the wider trades on your build programme. Weekly updates from the workshop floor go out during manufacture.

    Fit-out team

    Our own fitters install every kitchen we make. The team that knows the cabinet is the team that hangs the door, which is the reason the tolerance reads cleanly at handover rather than at the snag list.

    Aftercare

    Scheduled aftercare visits at six months, one year and five years, all inside a ten-year cabinetry guarantee. We hold finish references for repeat orders and answer the phone in year nine.

A 6,000 sq ft cabinetry workshop inside the M42.

The workshop sits on Pershore Road in Kings Norton, minutes from junction 2 of the M42 and 15 minutes from Birmingham city centre. It holds the joinery bench, the design studio and the team that runs the project from drawing to install. The same building is the showroom, so clients can see a finished kitchen and a cabinet on the bench in a single visit.

The cabinetry is always built in Birmingham. What changes from project to project is how far the install team travels. Our core service area sits inside the Midlands and London, with selected commissions further afield, all fitted by the same salaried Posh Design team that built the cabinet.

How a manufactured
kitchen happens.

Stages overlap on the ground. Typical durations are listed against each phase so a client or specifier can shape the wider build programme around the workshop schedule. Workshop visits are welcomed during manufacture; bring family, bring your builder.

    Design and drawing set

    Concept, layout and finishes are agreed at the Birmingham showroom or on a home visit. The studio issues plans, elevations, joinery sections and a finishes schedule in PDF and DWG before a board is cut.

  2. 02

    Sample board sign-off

    Sample doors, finish references, stone samples and hardware are prepared and signed off. Colours, materials and metals are agreed against the actual spec so the finish you sign off is the finish that lands.

    Cabinetry build in Birmingham

    The cabinetry is cut, sanded and assembled at the Pershore Road workshop, attached to the studio, while finishes, stone and hardware come together against the same programme. Workshop visits are welcomed during the build; bring family, bring your builder.

    Delivery and install

    Cabinets leave the workshop on the install week and the kitchen is brought together on site by the same team that built them. A foreman-sent WhatsApp goes out each working day during install.

    Snag, handover and aftercare

    Snag walk and written close-out at handover. Scheduled aftercare visits at six months, one year and five years, all inside a 10-year cabinetry guarantee. We hold finish references on file for repeat orders.

The workshop and showroom share the same Pershore Road site. Walk full-scale displays, touch the materials, and ask to see the bench your cabinet will be built on. We prefer appointments so a designer is free to walk you through, but walk-ins are welcome during opening hours.

What do you actually make in the workshop?
The cabinetry is built in-house. Carcasses, doors, drawer boxes and bespoke joinery for kitchens, bedrooms and media walls are cut, sanded and assembled at our 6,000 sq ft workshop on Pershore Road in Birmingham. Finishes, stone and hardware are specified by the studio and co-ordinated against the same programme.
Where is your workshop?
Unit 5B, Waterside Business Park, 1651 Pershore Road, Birmingham, B30 3DR. The workshop and showroom share the same site in Kings Norton, 15 minutes from the city centre and minutes from junction 2 of the M42.
Can I visit the workshop before I commission a kitchen?
Yes. Clients are welcome to visit the workshop during opening hours, by appointment, and again during the build to see the cabinets before they leave. It is often the most enjoyable hour of the project. Call 0121 446 6859 or request a design visit and we will arrange a date.
Do you manufacture for clients outside Birmingham?
Yes. The workshop builds for clients across the West Midlands, London and Manchester as the core service area. Further afield in the UK is possible by arrangement on whole-home or multi-plot programmes. The kitchen is brought together in Birmingham and our own team travels to install.
What is the lead time on a manufactured kitchen?
Four to ten weeks of workshop time from sign-off, depending on scale and finish lead times. The full programme, from first design meeting to handover, typically runs two to six months. We are quick because the workshop is attached to the studio and every discipline, joinery, paint, stone co-ordination and install, sits under one Birmingham roof.
What rooms does the workshop build for, beyond kitchens?
The same workshop builds cabinetry for bespoke kitchens, fitted bedrooms, walk-in dressing rooms, media walls and one-off furniture. Every commission runs through the same Pershore Road bench, with finishes, stone and hardware specified to the brief.
Do you work with architects, interior designers and developers as a trade manufacturer?
Yes. Posh Design runs a dedicated trade joinery programme alongside the direct-to-client side. Architects, interior designers, developers and principal contractors are welcome; NDAs and white-labelled work are standard.
What guarantee comes with a manufactured kitchen?
Ten years on cabinetry, finishes, soft-close runners and hinges, with scheduled aftercare visits at six months, one year and five years. We hold finish references on file so any later repair matches the original spec.
